Chimney Removal – Mukwonago

Project: Chimney Removal

City: Mukwonago, WI

Fox River Home Improvements completed a comprehensive chimney removal and venting conversion project for a homeowner in Mukwonago, WI. The project involved the complete tear down of an existing brick chimney down to the roofline, eliminating an aging structure while improving the home’s overall venting system. To ensure safety and protect the property throughout the process, scaffolding was installed and protective coverings were placed over the roof and surrounding shingles before demolition began.

The chimney was carefully dismantled in sections, with all masonry materials safely removed and properly disposed of. Prior to demolition, the existing flue system was stabilized and reinforced at the base within the structure to maintain safety and prevent any movement during the removal process.

Following the chimney removal, Fox River installed a new B-vent gas insert transition, including new flue piping, roof boot flashing, ice and water shield protection, and matching shingles for a seamless, weather-tight finish. These components were integrated into the existing roofing system to provide long-term protection against water intrusion while maintaining the home’s appearance.

All debris was removed from the site, including complete dumpster service and final cleanup. The project also improved ventilation efficiency and safety by upgrading the home’s venting configuration to meet current standards. The completed chimney tear down and B-vent conversion in Mukwonago, WI provides a clean roofline, enhanced weather protection, and reliable long-term performance for the homeowner.
