The team provides chimney, fireplace, and related masonry services to residential clients in and around Mukwonago, WI. The company values safety, professionalism, and clear communication in every project. Team members work closely with homeowners to maintain and improve the safety and comfort of their homes.
Role Description The Certified Chimney Sweep is a full-time, on-site role based in Mukwonago, WI. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining chimneys and fireplaces, identifying safety issues, and recommending appropriate repairs or preventive measures. The role involves performing basic masonry work related to chimneys and fireplaces, following safety standards and industry best practices. The Certified Chimney Sweep will interact directly with customers, explaining findings, answering questions, and providing clear, respectful service. This position also includes maintaining tools and equipment, completing service documentation, and supporting the overall efficiency of the home improvement team.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of chimneys and fireplaces, including inspection and safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with chimney cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Basic masonry skills relevant to chimney and fireplace repair and upkeep.
- Strong customer service abilities, with a focus on clear communication and respectful interaction.
- Certification as a chimney sweep (or willingness to obtain certification within a defined timeframe).
- Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces, following all safety protocols.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Mukwonago, WI.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in home services or construction is beneficial.
