Masonry Chimney Rebuild – Wauwatosa, WI

This project in Wauwatosa began with a professional chimney sweep and inspection, where significant structural deterioration and safety concerns were identified. Based on the findings, a full masonry chimney rebuild was recommended to restore proper function and ensure long-term performance.

Due to the chimney’s height and condition, full scaffolding was installed to allow safe and precise workmanship throughout the project. The interior block structure was rebuilt from the roofline up to meet current building code requirements, providing proper structural support and safe venting operation.

Our team reconstructed the exterior masonry, completed detailed chimney tuckpointing, and performed chimney shoulder repairs to address deterioration and prevent future water intrusion. A properly sized masonry chimney cricket and new flashing were installed to improve water drainage and protect the roof-to-chimney transition.

To extend the life of the masonry, the chimney was treated with Chimney Saver waterproofing. The project was completed with the installation of a stainless steel appliance liner, improving draft performance, efficiency, and overall system safety.

The finished result is a fully rebuilt, code-compliant chimney designed for durability, weather resistance, and reliable performance for years to come.
