This Wood Chase Rebuild – Mukwonago, WI project involved a full rebuild and restoration of the customer’s chimney crown and chase to improve both protection and appearance. Fox River began by removing the deteriorated crown materials and inspecting the structure for any rotten wood, which was repaired as needed. A new tiered wood crown was then constructed with an expanded drip edge to properly direct water away from the chase, and the crown was wrapped in custom aluminum trim to eliminate the need for future painting or staining.

The existing chimney chase cover was replaced with a custom-fabricated enameled steel cover, precisely measured and built for a perfect fit. The flue topper cap was removed and reinstalled with a new storm collar, with all areas professionally caulked and sealed for long-term weather protection.
